I’m a graphic design professor, creative strategist, and former marketing executive.

Hi, I am Katie Webber. I am a graphic design professor, creative strategist, and former marketing executive with over a decade of experience turning ideas into meaningful visual systems across academic and professional settings.

I teach graphic design at Jacksonville University, where I guide students through typography, visual communication, and digital media using a hands-on, studio-based approach. I am a proud JU alumna with an MFA in Graphic and Digital Design, and I believe the strongest design education is grounded in real-world practice.

Before transitioning fully into teaching, I led university-wide marketing and creative teams, managed large-scale campaigns, and partnered with national brands and agencies. My work has earned recognition from the American Marketing Association, MarCom, and Education Advertising Awards.

My creative research explores design psychology, social design, and data visualization, with a focus on how design can drive awareness, engagement, and behavior change. I am drawn to projects at the intersection of storytelling, data, and human experience.

Whether I am mentoring students, leading creative teams, or building systems that connect people to ideas, my goal is thoughtful design with impact
